The word ‘Influencer’ needs a rebrand ASAP
This might shock people but, I don’t want to be an influencer.
Not in the way we’ve come to know it. Always online. Always selling. Always performing.
It looks like freedom but most of the time, it’s just an office job in disguise.
The partnerships. The travel. The lifestyle. It’s tempting. But you’re not fully in control. The algorithm becomes your boss. You post because you have to, not because you want to. You live to stay relevant, not to actually live.
Everything becomes content. Even your downtime starts to feel like work. You’re performing a lifestyle instead of being present in it.
And honestly? That’s not why I started building this.
I haven’t built my life for content, I create content because my life is worth capturing.
I don’t want a life that looks free but isn’t. I want one that feels free.
To post because I have something to say. To create from inspiration, not obligation. To slow down without disappearing. To live first, and share from there.
That’s what Trendie is about.
It’s not rejecting influence - it’s redefining it. It’s about living so truthfully, so tastefully, so intentionally that people feel inspired just watching you be in it.
That’s the Trendie life. A life so rich people don’t just follow it - they want to be part of it.
Technically, this still makes me an influencer. Just a different kind.
Stay Trendie,
India x
